there is greatschools.net that have ratings from the parents. I've only looked at it a little but it seems helpful
I don't know. We're dealing with that sort of thing too. Only I want to homeschool and Dave's trying to prove that the schools we live by are the bomb.
Utah supports an online public school! Go to www.k12.com to check it out! It is free! It is basically homeschooling with a teacher/internet support which keeps track of all the homework, grades, progress, etc for you!!
I am hoping it comes to Oklahoma real soon because when it does, I am doing it for my kids!
If you know the school district, you can look up test scores and compare.
