What is the age group? My kids LOVE to decorate pumpkin-shaped sugar cookies. When I was young, I liked to make autumn-colored leaf rubbings. I like these scary masks made out of paper plates:

It is for Ollie's kindergarten class. There are about 15 kids so I need to keep the cost down.
Check out this link, and then browse for more. I thought of candy corn and cheerios necklaces, sort of like the candy necklaces you bite off. But I don't know how they would string the candy corn nicely. Maybe they would have to be pre-holed.

I work in Joshua's Kindergarten class and we just did some FALL booklets where you bring some big leaves that have fallen from a tree. Let the kids feel them (smooth side and bumpy side) and talk about fall colors (red, orange, yellow, brown.) Then they do a crayon rubbing with the leaf under the paper so all the leaf veins show through. They mix the colors and show how the FAll colors make beautiful leaves.
The booklet was the one were the red leaf (page 1) sees the yellow leaf (page 2) that see the orange leaf (page 3) that sees the brown leaf (page 4) that sees the FALL tree and then they draw their own tree with the fall colors (page 5). It cheap and easy, get some leaves and paper with crayons.
Hello all my friends from long ago. I can't believe you are all mommies now, and CUTE ones too. I found your blog through Lisa's. Heres my idea that is cute and easy. Get plastic (like clear food use ones) gloves and make witch hands. Use candy corns as the fingernails and popcorn in the rest, tie it off with a rubber band and yarn or ribbon. Then add a fun spider ring to the outside of it. Miss everyone and can't believe its been soooooo long!
