Twilight the movie
I'm guessing that by now you have all read the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer. If not, you need to. If so, you might be interested to know the progress of the upcoming movie. Thanks Alysia for the link. Go to http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/index.html to see who will be playing Edward and Bella.

It's Cedric Diggory!! I love Harry Potter. He'll be a good Edward. I don't know who the girl is but she looks good too. Hmm, I guess I'll have to reread them before the movie comes out. Bummer.
Dedric's not even cute! Edward is a hottie!
I'm mean Cedric.
Okay so I just read the chapter from Edward's perspective and it got me thinking about the whole series again. I need to reread them to get my fix.
It's funny because when I was reading the series, I would read in the bath. I would ALWAYS use this certain bubble bath from Bath and Body Works, and now every time I take a bath (with the dame b.b.), I think of Twilight. Man did it have an effect on me!!! I could not stop thinking of Edward and Jacob (especially Edward) for a long time.
I think they did ok picking the people. If you girls could choose anyone to play those two lead roles, who would you pick? I have seen the girl they picked for Bella in Zathura and In the Land of Women (she kissed that guy from the O.C.). You know who I think would by great as Rosalie? Scarlett Johansen, but she is way too big of a star to play that small of a part in that movie. I think I would have picked someone a little plainer looking to play Bella (the book describes her as plain) like Anne Hathaway, but maybe she is getting too old to play a teenager. I think the tough kind of mean guy from Smoke Signals would be good to play Jacob, but he is probably too old too.
You know who I think is kind of bombshelly like S.J. is the friend from Roswell, or Alien Love. They remind me of each other.

She's married to the guy from My So Called Life which I think is funny. I pictured Rosalie as tall, though. I don't remember why.
Scarlett would be a great Rosalie because of her beauty, and Anne Hathaway would be a great Bella because she is plain looking. Someone ruff looking needs to play jacob and a pretty boy needs to play Edward. I do agree they need to be young though. I just don't know to many young actors. I'm just not up to date on the new good looking actors.
Speaking from and "older" perspective... I really like the actor chosen to play Edward. I know Edward is a teenager in the book (albeit a 90-something year old teenager), so I'm glad the actor isn't too young. I mean come on! How can I lust after a teenager? Let's face it... whether you're in your twenties or your fifties (like me), Edward is the perfect man! I think Robert Pattinson (aka Cedric) is a good choice!
Besides... is there a mere mortal good enough to portray Edward?
Only in my dreams!
O.K. I take it back. I think both people cast for Edward and Bella are good people to play those parts. The pic I saw of Robert Pattinson was from Harry Potter, and he looked very young. The pic from the Twilight website is a good pic of him. He looks older and sexy.
I have to say I'm a little disappointed with the casting for Edward. I had my heart set on Henry Cavill. Robert Pattinson will do I guess, but he has a weird flat face or something. Not the striking granite perfection you expect of Edward. But I guess I'll give him a try. As for Bella, I think the girl is pretty good. She's too skinny though. Oh well. No one can be perfect for those parts, can they?
Henry Cavill IS a hottie. He'd be good too. He's from Count of Monte Cristo, right? I love that movie. Good revenge flick. I really hope they do the book justice with the movie. I feel like that's really hard to do but I'll be bummed if they change it a lot or don't capture any of the romance/magic.
I think it will be impossible for fans NOT to be disappointed. The author did such an amazing job of describing this Adonis-like guy (Edward) and how incredibly sensitive and romantic he was, but it was still all in our minds, right? It was the author's writing, but our imagination. How can a movie possibly satisfy all of our fantasies?
