Birthday Invitations

My daughter Madison will be turning 7 the end of March, so I have decided to get started on the party planning. She wants an ALL PINK theme. I saw this cute paperdoll invitation idea on marthastewart.com and thought it was so adorable. I saw in a previous post you guys gave some ideas on a green themed party...you got any ideas for an all pink party? Goodie bag ideas? Food? I am really excited about this. I think it will be fun.

Brother. I just had a long post going and I accidentally/stupidly closed the window. I basically said we gage our one year old boy a blue party a couple weeks ago and our 3 year old decided then that she wants a pink party when she turns 4 in april. I think those invites are adorable.

We'll do lots of pink balloon, maybe some pink flowers, pink and chocolate cupcakes, some big pink tissue paper flowers probably. Those are from martha stewart too. For Gage's party I went to marthastewart.com and typed blue decorations in the sear box and got lots of good ideas. You could make pink food or punch. It'll all be really cute I'm sure.

I will have to check out the tissue paper flowers. There are so many fun things on her website. Now that I think of it, I did see your post about his party. I will have to go back and look closer.

Tara, do you think I could do a cupcake cake in the shape of a flower and do it pink? Or I was also thinking a rainbow with different shades of pink for the different colors?

When I was getting Gage's wrapping paper and stuff for his all blue party, I saw cute paper plates and the works for an all pink party at Target. Target is always pretty darn reasonable, too!

A cupcake cake in the shape of a flower would be really cute and easy, so would a rainbow. With the rainbow, you could get so many different shades of pink. I think both would be adorable. For party favors you could do a variety of pink jelly bellies. They have tutti fruitti, pink grapefruit, bubble gum, cotton candy, strawberry daiquiri, and strawberry cheesecake. Also (I don't know if you think Madison is old enough) pink chap stick or lip gloss, pink nail polish (would the other parents be mad?). Food: pink marshmallows, watermelon, strawberries dipped in white chocolate dyed pink, pink jello, pink ice cream, pink lemonade, pink lady apples,

Pretty In Pink Punch:

2 Quarts Tropical Punch, Strawberry Kiwi, or Strawberry Melon soft drink mix, according to package directions.
1 can pineapple juice
2 liter bottle of ginger ale or lemon lime soda
1 half gallon container of vanilla ice cream

Combine all ingredients in punch bowl, and float ice cream on top. To be served in disposable party cups.

Have all the girls come dressed in pink.

You could also play music by Pink (if you think it is age appropriate).

That's all I could come up with so far.

Tara you should plan parties professionally. Seriously, you can come up with the best ideas just off the top of your head.

Thanks! I would if I could, but I don't think there is much need in Lewisburg. Everyone here has Kick A parties. Emma went to one with a chocolate theme (ate fondue, got all chocolate goodie bag, wore brown) and a paint your own pottery one with Hannah Montana everything in the goodie bags, a Luau at a pool (goodie bag had stuffed animal dressed as hula girl, flip flop key chain, hibiscus flower notepad and bracelet). But there are awesome women here who work and do the homemaker thing at the same time. They are the serious supermommmies!

Tara, thank you for all the good ideas! I think I will go ahead with the pink rainbow, and I didn't think to have them all wear pink, that is a great idea too. I will have to post picutres after the party.

Oh I just thought you could play the song "Pink Elephants on Parade" from Dumbo.

You are good Tara!

That would be a cute song to use while playing musical chairs or some game like that. Thanks!

I don't know what your budget is for the party, but if you could find cheap pink purses at the dollar spot or dollar store those would make really cute goody bags.

I didn't notice purses, but Target did have cute little pink buckets that you could fill up.
