Magnifying mirrors are evil

--So is natural light. I just got done with a long session in front of my 5x mirror with tweezers and some natural light. Gross. Seriously it was gross! I'm a hairy girl, more so than any girl I know, and looking in those things is way hard for me. My whole face stings, I had to pluck everywhere, this is why I prefer waxhing. Real quick, gets it all, and I DON'T HAVE TO LOOK AT IT. Ugh, 10 points off my self esteem score card today. I'd wax my whole body if it was feesible. --

This is from yesterday. I'm feeling less anger toward the mirror. Although I am avoiding it.

I am avoiding the mirror as well. I have having a really zitty week. I don't know what is up. Hello! I am almost 30 and I still get zits. I also just plucked my eyebrows and mustache after letting them go for a month. My before plucking face looked like my grouch cake, but add Gordon's (also from Sesame Street) facial hair. I would laser my whole body if I could afford it, but not if it hurt as much as my one time Brazilian. Captain's hook . . . ai yi yi!

HAHAHA! I love that you have had that done, Tara! I always wondered what that would be like...

It hurts like a mo-fo but it's worth it. :) I called the other day to get an appointment but she doesn't work there anymore! It was hard enough finding one girl in provo who does those, I don't want to look for anyone else.

I WISH I could get a Brazilian wax. My skin is so sensitive I'd scream. Aren't you also extra sensitinve down there?

Kirst, the way you fill about mirrors, I feel about scales. I can't and will not use them.

Kirsten... did you ask the salon if your girl is working someplace else? I would think if she's relocated, they'd give you the info. If you like her that much, it'd be worth it to drive there... even if it was in SLC! And Steph... if your skin is that sensitive, it might not be worth it. Maybe you should have a "dry run" on your upper thigh or something, just to make sure your "whatever" can handle it.

I think she doesn't work at any salon. She was only working there one day a week. The rest of the time she was working at a laser hair removal place and she teaches class and certifies other waxers.

She gives you scrubby gloves to uses to avoid ingrown hairs and they REALLY help since I'm prone to those. Luckily too, you only need to do it every 6-8 weeks.

And yeah, I've always been at war with the scale. Those are evil too.
